When you truly find who you are supposed to be for the first time, there is no feeling to compare to it.

I wish I could make one of these for trans*men, but I hope this demonstrates the feeling of finding peace for the first time.
It isn't a magic, angel wing creating affair. But it feels like it.

(Comic 2 of 3, I didn't want to lose colour quality by smushing them together)
(Also, what colour is the skin in this? I asked my friends for white/caucasian, this looks freaking grey to me.)

I had posted a comment on both #150 and #151 that seemed to imply that Tony had done a " Coming Out " to themselves. I was wrong about that, at least as to the timing of when the Coming Out had happened. I see now that what actually happened in #150 and #151 was Tony's acceptance in his mind of his ill-fated plan to commit suicide.

Tony's " Coming Out to Yourself ", that is, Tony acknowledging the validity of Toni, is actually happening right now, in this panel. This is a major step in Toni's transition to her correct gender, and a very important landmark to observe and celebrate.

Toni's wearing of the female school uniform is the outward display for all to see, of what has happened in Toni's mind, heart, and soul. Toni has validated her correct Gender Identity, and is showing it now with her correct Gender Expression. Yes, Inner Peace now, for the first time in Toni's life. No doubt that there will be much trouble, misunderstanding, and persecution ahead for Toni, but at least her internal battle is over, and Toni is at peace with and within herself.

@CuteDress&TwinPonytails: Almost entirely right - except that Tony checked if there was anyone outside first, and out in the hall first.
Then Tony put on the uniform, and found peace with Toni.
Though it was an outward display, it was for only herself, not for anyone else. Coming to terms with being trans* usually is a private experience before it ever becomes public, even if the public displays are what makes a trans* person most self-aware.
(Posted to make sense for the non-trans* or early trans* people, who may not understand the important difference).

I was speaking metaphorically, but I am sorry if I did not make that clear. Actually, according to #164 Panel 3, it seems as if Toni is aware that God would be watching, and speaks to that effect. You are correct that the experience of Coming Out to Oneself is entirely private and personal. No other human may know that the event has happened, until one decides to show their correct Gender Identity and Expression to family, friends, or out in public.
My own " Coming Out to Yourself " occurred in the early morning of November 4th, 2004. I now celebrate that day as a holiday.
