The sheer level of discomfort I had drawing this almost made me stop. I hate looking at it. I hate everything about it.

To be clear, this did not happen to me. I've been incredibly lucky that way. I've been shown scorn, verbal abuse, but never physical assault. Came close, but its never actually happened to me.

Unfortunately, this does happen to trans* people, every day. By people on the street, and worse, by authority. When you go to the police or hospital for help, and they refuse you, or disrespect you, or worse, hurt you.. There are people in Vancouver who have had this happen to them. Vancouver! One of the most LGBT tolerant cities on the planet!

Some day, this will end. Some day, people will love each other.

Sorry, I'm crying a little. I want that day to be today.

That guy beating Toni need to be fired and charged and convicted with assault. I don't care if you find out it is Hitler in your hospital. When you work in health care you do no harm! That is your sworn oath.
