I really like this page, because you can read it either in a standard zig zag, or left column, right column. And it makes sense either way!
I wish it was deliberate, but I'm glad it came out that way. Sometimes I impress myself. Re: I DREW A MONGOOSE!

Toni doesn't get to say anything in this entire thing. Getting halfway through the word "I" doesn't really count for much.

Then again, what do you even say to the last two thing said? You don't. You just stay quiet and wait for the pain to go away.

Wow, Sophie. Way to support your transgender and depressed friend. Even better to hit them in the injured arm. What a fantastic and supportive friend you turned out to be.

@Alereic: Not everybody can be perfect all the time. Right now, her though process is in an all-or-nothing. Clearly Toni made a decision to forgo any sense of bodily health - so why should Sophie bother to protect it either? Toni clearly decided to go with the abusive Vic, so why wouldn't (s)he respond better to Sophie being abusive?

She is coming from a place of massive hurt. Not only is she feeling hurt that Vic has that kind of control, but also that she is powerless to help her friend. You can be angry at her all you want, but in the end, she is reacting as a hurt human soul would react.

@GreenKrog: I understand where she's coming from. I've just got more experience being on the receiving end of that anger, and this brings that back.

...Which says fantastic things about your stories, that you can draw me in like that. Well done, indeed!
