Some people will just hate you, no matter how nice you are.
No matter how good you are.
No matter how much you are truly worth.

For every person who hates without reason, there is a person who will love you without hesitation or prejudice. They will love you, not in spite of your problems, but because they know you are more than that. That you are valid, that you belong, that you are really worth being alive.

If you don't love yourself, just know that I love you.

I say that without knowing you. Not knowing what you think your problems are. Not knowing what you perceive makes you unlovable.
Because I know that you are more important than you think you are now. And I know that I love you.

HEY! He forgot to pay! Toni should handle this in a mature and adult manner. Threaten to sue him. The American Way!
...
Or TP his house. Either way.

@Valley: The nameless jerk didn't forget, he made it a point to not pay. Because he knew he could get away with it. Heck, up until a month or so ago, it was legal in Canada to fire someone for being trans*, so its not like Toni had much chance here.

And we are Canadian up in here, eh. The best Toni could do is write a strongly worded letter requesting an apology while apologizing herself. And then not send it, because that could be impolite. And then curling while wearing a toque. Because that's what we do in Canadialand, eh!

Stupid question: what's draped over Toni in panel 5? At first it looked a bit like a jumper, but it appears to have at least three sleeves...

@mittfh: It's a pretty standard coat. I'm not sure exactly what sort of coats you've been wearing, but.. that's a coat.

I think I see why you are confusing. The bottom right thing looks like another arm instead of the body of the coat. Ok, I guess I can take some derp for that. But instead, I'm just going to stare at you until you feel uncomfortable :)

@GreenKrog: I can see the intended orientation, but what confuses me is the gap under Toni's chin where you can see through to the door. With most designs of coat, I'd expect the body of the coat to be blocking that view from the angle portrayed :P

@mittfh: ...you are right, and I saw that, but my point remains, that even though I will fix it, excessive comma usage, I will stare at you until you grow uncomfortable.

So I'm going to have to be *that* person, but what is Toni's dialogue in the first box supposed to mean? I mean, unless you're somehow talking about the sodium-potassium pump I can't imagine another interpretation.

@science nazi: Neuron electron transfer. How nerves pass messages across their own surface.

http://www.cerebromente.org.br/n12/fundamentos/neurotransmissores/neurotransmitters2.htm l

Scroll to the section about inhibitory channels vs excitatory synapses on how polarization occurs. The electrons move across the gradient trying to find an ionic partner but are unable to depending on the potassium opening.

Back when I was in school this was referred to as my bio teacher as the potassium transfer chain (or pump). So, yeah, sodium-potassium pump. Thank you for getting it! Makes my needless science additions more.. unneedless?
That was also a long time ago, so if I got it wrong, please correct me.
