Some feminist notes on frame 6;
The drawing almost turned out ok. So we can ignore that.
If you are wondering how someone could literally be floored like this, you might not remember your first true love. Unless you are still with them, you might have felt exactly like this. Or even done this.

Annie isn't being weak. She just lost one of the greatest pillars she had to lean on. Yes, it happened to be a man. What would she have felt if it was Sophie? What would she have felt if it wasn't even an intimate person, but a friend, like if Ron or Mitch had turned away?

What is Jamie's reasoning, anyways? Did he talk to Annie's dad? Or Bill? Or maybe P had something to say? Or maybe he just doesn't want to hurt her any more, in that dumb self-sacrifice thing some of us do.
Or maybe, he can't be with someone like Annie. And this was a reminder of how she was different.
I really don't know, I haven't written it. And I don't want to think about it.

There are people in my life, that if they were to exit my life in a way similar to that, it most come close to breaking me. The few who are like this, though, are the ones I trust most not to do that.

I dont want to be angry at Jamie, but its hard. She needs him most right now, and this is when he chooses to walk away? His face is stubbly, so we can infer that he's at least worrying enough to skimp on the hygiene.

...I wouldnt leave you, Annie.
