What the hell did they give the announcer to read?

Like I said about the pierced lung thing, I screwed up the timeline. At this point its been just under 4 weeks. It had to have been a really minor puncture to be able to breath properly, let alone swim at this point. But then, since when does Annie respond to pain in Tony format?

Wow, Vic looks PISSED.

yay for Vic getting pissed and protecting her

I don't think the timeline issue is that important, as a reader I don't have much of an idea about how much time has passed, like there could be days where just nothing significant happens and therefor aren't portrayed in the story

@A: Vic is deeper than people give him credit for! And even if he hated Annie, wouldn't he still openly defend the person who just won the meet? Like he said back in the parties, there is competition, but we all come from the same pool.

The timeline is more for me then for y'all. It's a neurosis thing. I've skipped like, a few days here and there, but the only real time lapse have been.. uh.. during.. er.. horrible times in Annie's life. I guess it matters to me because, at least to me, being transgender was (is) a daily thing. You don't really get a day off. Some days are better than others, sure, but at least for me, it's never really not there.
Then again, I write a transgender webcomic. So.. many grains of salt :)

Vic's homophobic, but (a) Tony's the best swimmer on the team, and (b) historically at least, the insults have served as motivators.

However Vic thinks about Tony as a person, Tony as a swimmer trumps that - at least in part because the team's performance reflects back to Vic as he's their captain.

Having had his star swimmer out of action for a month following a physical assault, it's in Vic's best interests to do what he can to keep Tony physically safe.
