I'm sure a few of you are kinda irked at me right now. They didn't even make it to the second round, you say. This is a fantasy, why can't she win, you ask me?

Well, this is reality. Her reality. And you can't win everything, no matter how hard you try. You simply can't.
So take pride in every race you run, regardless if you win or lose. Or let it go into memory, and strive for the next victory. It doesn't end just because you fall once. It doesn't end because you fall a second, or third time. It only ends if you give up.

And I ain't about to let you give up.

* This is how I view the adult ice skating competitions that I enter. Win or lose, it's not about where the judges place you by their scores, wither the gold medal or something else, it's about how well or poorly you perform compared against your own standards. It's about if you try, and try with your very best, or if you do not try at all, and just give up mentally and emotionally even before you go out on the ice and skate ! ( I like your use of the word 'fall' in your advice, since that term is so appropriate to ice skating ! )
