So.. um.. they are kind of total bitches. On one hand, Annie did just waltz in and steal away Vic from whoever he was with (this Becca person, I guess). But on the other hand, you don't freaking rip someone's clothes while they are wearing them!

Why isn't she putting her self defense into action, you might ask? Well.. have you tried kicking someone while wearing heels? Or while being stripped? There is a bit of a lack of mobility and balance.
That, and she seems more shocked by the goings-on than anything else.

So, does the man in panel 5 not see Annie half stripped? Crying and obviously the victim? Or did the two girls block her from his view? Honestly, I go with an eye for an eye route. People who do that deserve the same done, but worse, so they understand what they did was wrong.

@Ralph: If he does, he isn't saying anything. It seems plausible to me that, due to the general bell-style dresses at these things, it is reasonable to believe he didn't see her. And if he did, well, he is probably just another adult from another time who doesn't care about the poor tranny girl. I *think* I intended it to be the principal, though I appear to have used a different font. In which case, no, he didn't see her.

Have you not heard the message Julie has been trying to get into Annie? Revenge is easy. Standing tall on our own merits is much harder. Sure, Annie could easily hurt those girls, but where does it end? Right now, she is entirely innocent. Should she take up the sword, then she is a combatant. You can never undo that;

Wesley: There is a line, Lilah, black and white, good and evil.
Lilah: Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get grey. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but grey.

Assuming Panel 6 is fairly close in time to Panel 5, then it's entirely possible the teacher hasn't seen Annie, since she's behind Yellow Dress.

It's possible there are other staff between Annie's current location and the exit - whether any of them will pay any attention to Annie is another matter entirely. It's also possible Vic will return from Homecoming Court business before Annie leaves.

Sidenote: Annie's necklace appears to be magical - appearing in Panels 1, 3 and 6, but disappearing in 2 and 4 (in the latter case, probably just as well given it has a habit of being ripped off when Annie's in trouble)...

@CuteDress&TwinPonytails: He could have gone alone and then had the Becca girl appointed to him as queen. I don't really know how it works.

@mittfh: I know, poor visuals are poor, but Annie is actually outside right now. There is a different colour inside the dance than outside (you can see it if you look REEEEAL close). So this incident happened outside.
Thanks for noticing the necklace, it is now added back in. My bad on the derp.

The only good thing of note is that the other girls were taller than Annie. I like that she's shorter

@stickygirl: Girls are generally taller at Annie's age of 15. They are probably in the graduating class, so they have basically finished puberty.
Uuuunfortunately, Annie is due for a growth spurt. So she won't remain so short for ever :(
