On a positive note (yeah, I sometimes still can muster that up) - a trans*girl won homecoming in the states, and it was a huge deal. Really huge. So.. maybe there is hope for us after all.

If you don't get what "her parents weren't home" means, please ask someone a little older than you. I'm sure they will be happy to explain!

Things really are getting better for trans people. I live in the bible belt of the US.

Annie's story is actually just about impossible here. There are so many people willing to stand up today. And so many people that just don't give a fuck what gender you are. Its looking up :)

"her parents weren't home" = we had wild sex but had to wipe everything down, change the bedclothes, wash & dry them, check there were no incriminating hairs left in the sink, and not just empty the trash but empty it in a civic trash bin three miles away. And swear the cat to secrecy
