Holy freaking emo, yeesh.

Then again, after your dad assumes you could be so malicious without hearing you out? And then misgenders you? That would probably get me down too..

You may note that I have no idea what the back of a human head is shaped like. I'm still working on the top of the head, give me SOME credit for trying..

"Sure it gets better Julie. When?"

To which the logical (but unhelpful) answer would be another rhetorical question: "How long is a piece of string?"

I'd imagine that for many, the journey is often one step forward, 0.9 steps back; or taking three steps forward, an incident setting them back 2½ steps, then eventually with the help and support of others, taking the 2½-2¾ steps forward.

Regarding your art, ever considered camera + tripod + self-timer, then using the resulting photo to assist (or is that too pedantically geeky for your liking)? Then again, it's been nearly a year since you drew this strip, so your art skills may have improved measurably in the intervening time...

Besides which, as long as the art is at least vaguely recognisable and the characters can be differentiated, does anyone really care how well-proportioned they are as long as they're sufficient to convey the message?

Added onto which, you've devised the brilliant strategy of using different fonts for different speakers, so even when multiple characters are speaking off-camera, we (usually) know who they are!

@mittfh: I won't say my art has improved, strictly. But I will say that people now have necks that can actually support their heads, so that is a start.

The art being relatively OK is more of a personal thing than whatever else. There are a lot of manga/web comics that, even if they interest me, I am unable to read them because of layout or eye-bleedingly bad art. It is why I put so much effort into fixing the previous pages - if I ever intend to publicize WF, it needs to make people not want to throw up.

The different fonts isn't so much brilliant as it is stolen. At some point, the author of Rain told everyone that the main character's voice is in italics when everyone else's isn't. This was to show that she was straining her voice or trying to change it, it was not natural. Given that Annie has three voices - boy voice, halfway to girl voice, and singing voice, it just made sense. Aaaaand everyone else just happened to get them because I get OCD about this kind of thing. So credit where it is due, I liberally ripped it off from a superior artist.

@GreenKrog: I'll go on record as saying your artistic ability has gotten significantly better since you started. You're no Rembrant, but you ARE improving. :p

Best I can do for the back of heads. They're quite annoying.
