The title? Yes, hickeys are caused by the rupturing of vessels being subjected to pressure. Biology makes everything less magical, don't it!

Drawing Lexi's head in frame 3 was stupid hard and it still came out dumb. But remember like six months ago when I said "I will draw it how I want it to appear in my head no matter how hard it is"? That.

Did you catch it the first time with Andrea and Lexi? Yup, up until now, it was just between Andrea and Annie. Neither of them told Lexi. And it even totally came up before, if you were paying ridiculously close attention!

...this is also the first time Andrea has yelled at anyone.

You know I only ask dumb questions to help out... "Sophie gone a week" - have her parents sent her off somewhere? I know I should pay more attention :(

Also Vic  how cheap of him!! I hate people doing hickeys - they're nothing but trouble and it's that 'ownership' they imply. grrr

@stickygirl: that would be a typo - should read 'in a week', as in, when her mom is moving and taking Sophie with. I will fix it when I get home, thanks for de-derping me!

I like hickeys, myself. Getting them is super fun, because my neck and ears are my super sexy zone. The marking part, I'm fine with. Because I got it from someone I trust enough to allow near me, and while the concept of ownership is wonky, it shows that for a while it was someone else's.

@Dew: why am I the one drawing this and not you? :) I like my moon better than your background, but damn can you draw people that look like people! Now that I've seen Vic's hair more realistically, bloody does he need a hair cut. Somehow expected a bigger chest on him, being a swimmer and all, but I'm terrible at proportions so what do I know.

I made that same Panda thing like 40 times. Too bad P doesn't like her real name, so I can't fix it!

They happen. I've never had/given one on purpose, but they happen. Doesn't really mean anything in my experience, just an embarrassingly strong reminder of a good night.
Marks good :3

Unless you don't have makeup. Darn you, past self, skin base is totally manly!

Also, GK, been trying to get this to work since last night when I found it. http://imgur.com/mzI8TsI

Edit: looks like "what was that about Panda ndrea?" In last panel. To me. Wow. I should go back to sleep.

It's times like this that I wish polyamory was more widely taught/accepted with the younger generation, so they could communicate, work through, and be rid of guilt from feeling love/romantic attraction for more than one individual.

Not sure it would fix -everything- that hurts in this conversation (especially the dislike Andrea has for Vic), but at least it would stop the "you lied about your feelings for Sophie" line of thought.

@ladybug: I'm not convinced Andrea is offended because of polyamory. I think she just hates Vic. After all, Annie was with both Jamie and Sophie for a while, and Andrea never freaked out. Plus, Andrea is losing her best friend with Sophie moving away, so I don't think all of this is about Annie.

As the author, I will openly admit I dislike my own thoughts on polyamory. Intellectually I'm like, yeah, why does it matter, love as many as you love. Why does it bother ME if other people have multiple partners (sexual or emotional) . Just because it isn't for me, why do I judge others? So yeah, I am a terrible person and do have a strong monogamy bias, so I apologize for that. Dang catholic upbringing :(

@GreenKrog: Sorry, I wasn't clear... I wish polyamory was more widely taught so that Annie could work through this without feeling "Oh, I'm cheating", and would also help explain to others why she can (as I read it) love more than one person in her life. I agree that there is much more going on here, but I still think the pressure to "really" be with only one person just makes the situation worse.

And I sat in that place for a long time, and rejected a former partner who was poly (though glad I did, for other reasons). I think society shapes so much of our reactions that it's really hard to break through the layer from intellectually accepting to opening up to it. For me, I had to do that quickly when I found myself falling for two of my closest friends XP

@GreenKrog
The background is plain white piece of paper XD I'd like to do a trans comic, but I'm not so good with the story thing.

Also, Vic... Uh... I just like twinks. Cute skinny tiny guys <3
