Wow, Annie has really grown taller over the past few months, hasn't she?

You know, everybody has a story. Something that they have experienced, that they think nobody knows, or worse, that everyone does know. It isn't the story that matters in the end, but what you do with it. Do you use it to hurt others, or to help them? Do you turn the pain that you've witnessed into a weapon? Or do you do your best to make sure nobody else experiences it again?

I know a lot of you hate Vic for the things he has done. That you think he should never be forgiven. I want you to let go of that. How much does it hurt you to hold that grudge? To hate Vic, and moreso, hate me for writing about forgiveness?

Vic is taking the pain he has experienced in others, their struggles, and is helping Julie and Lexi. Will it ever truly vindicate him from what he did? That isn't for us to decide. But it is for us to decide how much hurt we are ready to harbour inside us.

* I rarely comment IRL here, but what you just said, AK, really hit home.
When it was found out that I was transitioning to my correct gender of an adult female, I was expelled from an organization. I am still allowed to attend, and do so, but I am completely shunned. I now struggle with the idea of forgiveness, both for myself, and for the organization. I want to be able to forgive completely, from the heart and soul, both for myself, and for the others who voted to expel me. I now bear no ill will, so some progress has occurred, but that level of complete and unqualified forgiveness has yet to happen, even though three years has passed since the expulsion.

BTW---I don't hate Vic, as I try and see the good in him, and in people like him.
