Heh, before I get into the writeup for this.. Hahah, RMitches - FIRED?! Hahaha. Good times.

Here is a helpful tip. Don't fire anyone who has ammo to use against you. It rarely ends well.
Also, yes, this is my second attempt at drawing and shading an African-Canadian person (Jamaican Canadian? I don't know what the correct term is. Am I allowed to call black people black, if I am doing it in a non-offensive way? They get to call me transgender, if they are doing it in a non-offensive way, right? I kknow all of the asians I work with are cool with being referred to as asian.. so..?) Anyways, I think she turned out really pretty and I liked the shading and I am REALLY happy with how she turned out.
Also, just because.. statistics.. In the population of Calgary in 2009, black people (wikipedia gets to classify that way..?) anyways, black people make up 2.5%, or about 35,000 in a population of 1 million. So fun fact - ethnic diversity is not a thing in Calgary. 74% white. Yup.
I point this out because, as much as I love my home city, it was not exactly a place where you could blend in if you were ANY kind of minority. Oh, also? 65% Christian/Catholic. That.

Are you seriously still reading this? Ok, then yes, the card says Dr Bernt. And it has my work phone number on it. Ha!

So what you are saying is that if we figure out the number we can phone and set up an appointment?

HIGH FIVE to you, AK, for the hysterical irony of having Dr, Berndt's name on the referral card !!! So funny, and so appropriate !!!

BTW---I just love the dress that Annie is wearing. She looks good as an ultra-feminine 'girly-girl'.

Huh, I'm actually surprised at those statistics. I live in the north east of Calgary, and as a white Christian person I always felt like the minority! I guess that's just because of the part of the city I live in.

@Ameri: I used to live in Temple, which has a very high east Indian population. I went ot school near Marlborough, which had a very high asian population. I get what you mean about feeling like a minority.
...then I moved to Vancouver and spent time in Richmond. Tallest person in the city! Woo!

@CuteDress&TwinPonytails: Keep in mind said cute dress was picked out by the parents of a FtM transexual - it was picked specifically to be demandingly, and in their view, demeaningly cute.

So the "real therapist" is a Dr. Bernt. That name seems vaguely familiar - and I have a sneaky suspicion Annie is very familiar with that particular therapist as well :D (And, of course, as we know, not just on a purely professional level either!)

Meanwhile, kudos to Annie for impressive thinking on her feet in panels 1 and 3 (hidden caches - brilliant! Although with her friendship circle, it's possible that in time she could build up emergency clothing supplies at their homes...)

@mittfh: She did mention that she has a disturbing amount of toothbrushes around the city. Seems probable that she could go to dang near any cheerleader's house at this point and walk out a total cutie pie!
