Anorexia and bulimia are not the same thing. However, they are often considered comorbid conditions and bulimia is a type of, or severity of, anorexia. Not always, but sometimes, anorexia will lead to bulimia.
As previously stated, anorexia can cause the heart to become weakened. Throwing up is very straining on the heart in general. Between the two, it is easy to become overexerted and have your body make you pass out instead of persisting in the activity that is causing the problem.

If you ever has cause to detain someone, do NOT take the key with you without VERY good reason. If there is a fire or breakin, and Julie had the key and was unable to get to the door to let Lexi out, who knows? Leaving it on the door handle means that anyone can let Lexi out without the danger of not knowing where the key is.
