RN means Registered Nurse. What that means, I am a little unclear on. But I know that nurses are awesome and deserve way the hell more credit than they get.

So it should be made absolutely clear right now - I haven't gone through any programs or anything, I don't know how it works exactly. I've read a few books, but I am in no way an authority. So Lexi's treatment and the rules therein are going to be largely fictitious. If someone wants to correct each page as it comes up as to ensure the proper information gets spread, I will replace the author comment with YOUR comment.

Also to be stated, I will be using slurs for thin people at times. Lexi is not a happy person right now, and just like how Annie gets when she is upset, I imagine the words become cruel.
So in the same way that Annie occasionally calls herself a tranny and such, I don't mean it. That is horrible. And Lexi calling herself and other people with eating disorders names is just as bad.

Lastly, Applejack is an Earth Pony, and works on in an apple orchard. Rarity is a unicorn. Twilight Sparkle is (no spoilers!!!) also a unicorn. So finding a unicorn on a ranch in Alberta seems improbably, but finding an earth pony is totally plausible.

An interesting trivia is that Twilight Sparkle was but is not now a unicorn. With the beginning of the new season of My Little Pony, she has 'transitioned' to her correct nature and being, that of an alicorn. I like the parallel of Twilight Sparkle's transition, with that of a young, teenage male to female transgender person transitioning to their correct gender, nature, and being.

@CuteDress&TwinPonytails: The "no spoilers" part kinda went over your head, didn't it.

@GreenKrog: I'm fairly certain "no spoilers" only last for so long after a show has been out. If people don't know about Twilight Sparkle's transition by now, they don't watch the show and likely never will.

I have never been in treatment for an eating disorder, but i have been in treatment for mental health diagnoses. I have major depression, which i was diagnosed with as a minor, and am a wee smidge autistic, which I wasn't diagnosed properly as til adulthood. I live in the USA, not Canada, but I've shared a psych ward with a large variety of peopleincluding those with eating disorders, so I'm not sure everything I can chime in with is true in Canada.

Now that this is established: if you draw a little trash container in the hospital, the bag in it should be paper, not plastic. All it takes is one depressed person deciding the empty trash bag can help them suicide, and I'm pretty sure that's happened in Canada too. It probably helps if the little trash receptacle is appropriately rectangular too; the paper bags used look just like little paper grocery bags.

Since this is /only/ for eating disorders, you might not need this, but general psych wards have a 'smoking room' for use by smokers (and those who don't mind hanging out in a roomful of cig smoke).

Also, if you can name it as a room, there is probably a lock on its door. Except bathrooms. Exercise room, for example. And a lock on every/thing/, too. Phones. Any devices. Rules will say you need to turn it in, unless you medically /need/ it - and even then, you don't get to manage your meds; they do that. People wonder why this sort of thing attracts control freaks as workers!

@Siva: I've been in a few mental health facilities, I am well aware of how they work and I can accurately portray them. I just don't know Lexi's program specifically works, given that it is an eating disorder thing and not a suicide thing.
