Predictable Floor [1/2]

My biological mother had the most ridiculously comfortable bed. I remember one day when I had a summer cold, I was flaming hot and stumbled into her room during the day and just passed out on her bed. I can't remember anything that happened after that. Anyways, that inspired this, because parents usually have really nice beds and kids don't.

I know, frame 4 is confusing as hell. Basically, Julie taped a note on the bottom of the bed in Annie's room with a little light that would only be visible when Annie was lying on the floor. At this point if you haven't figured out that I don't understand art, you are really missing out on an important problem with Wildflowers.

Understanding art

@GreenKrog: OK, so occasionally you have to point out what's going on in a particular frame (either in your comment written at the time or in response to someone like me saying "Uh?"), but probably veering on 95% of the time, it's sufficient for readers to work out what's going on - and if it does that, it's done its job. Added onto which, as with any skill, the more you do something, the more proficient you become - while some master concepts fairly quickly (e.g. passing a driving test first time), others take considerably more time to master (e.g. finally passing after years' worth of lessons and dozens of failed tests).

It's quite likely that with at least some aspects of your art, you're better now [May 2015] than when you originally drew this strip [April/May 2014 - hedging slightly as you may not put strips in the publishing queue immediately upon completion].
