They can't ALL be Mitch moments. But by google is it hot. Who can form cohesive thoughts in that kind of heat?

And yeah, I am aware that the colouring went all outside of the lines. It is THAT BLOODY HOT.

To be clear: in Calgary, the average summer death heat is like, 20. We Calgarians tend to be acclimatized to the arctic. So we really don't cope all that well with the heat.
I've been in Vancouver for like, 6 years, and I still turn into a gooey puddle of useless right around June.

It's generally cool around here, not sure it's much different from Calgary tempwise.

I have an air conditioner, and I'd not survive the summers without it.

Something to boggle your minds: the vast majority of the UK is at a higher latitude than Calgary, but enjoys a mild, temperate climate (typical June temperatures: 15-20°C). All courtesy of the Gulf Stream. Temperatures only rarely reach the dizzying heights of 24+°C, so only a small minority of homes have air con.

Anyway, back to topic, and it'll be interesting to see if Annie takes up Mitch's advice on reverting to natural brown or continues to touch up her roots (at least for now).

Oh! - I caught-up! Aaahhh, I'm going to have to wait for the next comic.

At least I may be more productive than I have been lately whilst spending most of my spare time reading Wildflowers.

...

I am also in the UK, and so far this summer it has been cold, like even cooler than usual.

@GreenKrog: I am going to - but I really need to get on with other stuff too, so it's all good that I have caught up. I have had a wonderful binge on this comic so far - for days and days it was the only place I visited on the internet whenever I switched on my kindle :)
Now I can go check my email, and spend more time with my family.

Thanks so much for drawing and writing Wildflowers. It's a really engrossing read.

Meanwhile, in Louisiana, this day would probably be considered a little on the "chilly" side.

I recall, after spending most of my life in/around New Orleans, then moving to Nashville in 11th grade, I started wearing my hoodie in September, and didn't take it off until literally after the school year ended (which was the end of May). Anything below 80, and I shiver. Once summer gets going in TN, though, it gives Louisiana a run for its money, and then some. They reach the same temps, and the same heat indexes, but at least in Louisiana, you always have a not-insignificant chance of rain in the summer, to cool you off. Not so in Nashville.
