That girl is ludicrous. She reacts in a wonderfully subdued and respectful manner, yet says all the wrong things.

@Lady Emily: I'm guessing clueless but also remarkably chill person. New friend maybe? It depends on how she reacts.

@Erin: Yeah, I think she could also become a new friend if Annie manages to curb her panic and explain. "Call me Annie. That's my only name. I'm *not* a boy."

@Lady Emily: It can be hard for Annie to do that if it isn't what she feels inside.
Annie is still learning that she is a girl and nothing else, but the world keeps telling her otherwise.

Some day she will be able to say that simple phrase. But right now, all she knows is that she is a trapped animal with a hunter looming over.

@GreenKrog: Then I hope this girl can change her tactics to be less threatening.

@Lady Emily: Hard to know without knowing her intention. Is she fact finding? Is she intending to blackmail? Maybe she just really sucks at socializing like others have pointed out. Or maybe she is just a cold soulless monster ready to do as much damage as possible.
Personally, I'd rather be threatened by an emotionless jerk than one that is clearly angry at me.

I'm not getting a cruel, intolerant vibe from her. More like very observant but incredibly socially inept. Some kind of personality disorder, maybe?

@Anon:

I'm getting the same, though I'm thrown off as to /how/ she's figured it out, without being trans herself, or having people close to her be trans (but why is she not using the proper terms, if that is the case?). Every potential sign that Annie is trans (other than being recognized as the Maiden, but she didn't mention the Maiden), at least that I've seen, can be adequately explained by issues cis girls face all the time.

@Grenartia: Sometimes people are just observant enough to notice. I'm like 10 years old and pretty much 100% stealth (and beautiful if I put in effort), And yet I still get called out every so often when there is just no bloody way they could have figured it out.
