What the hell is this Dallas thing? I haven't written it yet, you guess is as good as mine.

If you haven't watched the animated Wonder Woman movie, STOP EVERYTHING AND GO WATCH IT. SO GOOD! IMIGUR!!
For those who can't quite recall the premise to which they are talking about in the first two frames;
Wonder Woman is technically neither a god, nor a human. She was forged from clay and given life. For all intents and purposes, she is actually a golem, or a homunculus. For an idealized amazon, beautiful and fierce, she was not born. She was created. I find that inspirational, not only as a trans person, but as a human being. She is who she says she is, she stands for what she stands for, and that is what matters, not how she came to be.

Apparently Zora has a southern accent. Think she is from Texas? Maybe Dallas has something to do with that. Iunno.
Why does Bree care if Annie is straight or whatever? Is she into Annie? All signs point to yes!

One thing that always bothered me about Wonder Woman is that she has both of her breasts intact. Tradition Amazonians from legend cut off one, supposedly to make archery easier.

@Clockwork: We all want to think that legend is true, but it is a myth based on etiology more than reality. The physical location of the amazons would have given them, at the very least, hardened leather armor, which would have binded the breasts close enough that that archery would have been easy. I'm sporting a nice set of Cs and I have no issue with archery - nor did the chick with the ridiculous D's when I last went to the range.

@GreenKrog: I know what you are saying, but the amazons were entirely myth to begin with, without a basis in reality. I'm just saying if they wanted to use that myth they should have stuck a little closer to the source material. Like any Hercules movie, where they carefully pronounce all of the greek names correctly... except for Heracles.

The Amazins have a very strong basis in reality, having come from the Sauromatae empire breeding the Amazons with the Scythians.

In fact, the tribe in the Ural mountains has been pronounced as some of the oldest examples of women warriors buried with their weapons and armor, and this is the basis to which people ascribe much of the legend.

Auyra, my ex, was *really* into women warriors, and we looked into this stuff a lot. I dislike the 'women are weaker' thing, so I embrace women who are examples of strength.

If you would like I can look up more examples, but that Smithsonian writeup is pretty solid.

@GreenKrog: Personally, I prefer my Amazons with both breasts. I always thought the myth of them cutting off a breast just to be better archers was ridiculous and quite frankly, made up by the patriarchy of Greece to make them less-than-human.

*sarcasm*Oh Joy*sarcasm* You have Wend 'The Controller' on your left and now Bree 'If you not born this way then get the hell'. You know I'm begin to miss our old school mostly because even although most of school body should go to hell at least we didn't have fake friends on both side.

@HinataLotus: To be fair, Zora is the one saying that women have to be born and not made. Bree is just making popcorn.

Right now Annie is trying to fit into both groups to figure out which one she should fit in to. Thats how it always works when you are moving to a new place. Besides, if Annie wants Bree as a girlfriend, she sort of has to get along with Bree's other friends (at least to some extent).

Me? I hermit and avoid the social thing. People suck. Let fictional characters deal with it.
