Frame 1: Now that Annie is out of the direct conflict with the Gym teacher, now she gets to ruminate on how she doesn't pass, and goes white.

Frames 2-5: Being more and more convinced of how the school sees her. Also, see "english teacher being a flaming ****".

Frame 6: How the people at school actually see her - beautiful, with a tear in her eye, but looking forward instead of looking down.

Kora looks extremely uncomfortable throughout this exchange. Is she feeling guilty because she's chickening out of standing up for Annie immediately after thanking her for doing exactly that?

@Anon: I sort of get the feeling that Kora can't handle confrontation very well. I doubt there is any guilt involved, so much as extreme social anxiety.
