For every life taken by their hands
We lost not only ourselves
But every life that soul would have touched

Our loves, our lives
Our hearts, our smiles

Taken because we dared to be born

For every life lost, we remember

-Transgender Day of Remembrance 2014

(Had Annie died from her overdose or the orderly, Andrea would have continued to live in fear, if at all. Alec would never have heard the Maiden sing, and would have stayed Alice, or killed himself as his brother said he wanted to. Vic would never have been able to deal with how his friend died.
And if any of the people who had helped me through the years had died from their own hands, or the hands of those too hateful to allow us to simply be alive, I would have died long ago.)

Wow. Damn. I can always count on you to hit hard - sometimes 'take your breath away' hard. This is one of those times. But people need to see what you show. Thank you for Wildflowers.

Just a couple of hours ago from the time right now when I have come to Wildflowers, Nov 20th, about 9pm Eastern Standard Time, I was in attendance for the 2014 Transgender Day of Remembrance ceremonies in Columbus, Ohio, USA. Thank you for the special comic today highlighting the issues of Transgender Day of Remembrance.

This is beautiful in a soul-crushing way. Congratulations; I don't always find myself so struck with sadness from comics and the like. Thank you for the highlight of the day before.
