It isn't obvious at all, so, like, my bad. Kora swapped shirts with Annie to hide the cut and. Plus, it is goth day, so she did the makeup. Not that Annie cares right now.

That isn't a fair question to ask Cindi. Or is it? I don't know. Right now, I know the answer, but at that age, I don't know if I would have known the answer. Hrmm. Cindi SHOULD know the answer, but then again, this is all pretty new to her too.

I hope she snaps out of her self-destructive state of mind before it's too late.

@The Lady Emily: Don't worry, she will. And then she'll get all angry and sad again. And then she'll snap out of it one more time. And so on forever. Welcome to the wonderful world of being a depressive wreck.

@Yan Mouson: I would hope that things would start to mellow down eventually. Now I get that this is likely the result of severe depression, which does not simply go away, but things like facing acceptance and love in spite of it all, being validated and feeling safer can help combat the feeling.

Yep, I know how that is. Sometimes even seemingly petty shit, can get to you. Not too long ago, when my scooter wouldn't start, I was in a manic depressive state, as I walked it an hour home.

As far gone as she is, there is still something left, even if it's almost too small to see. In panel 4 she says "or I'm a boy so broken in the head as to think she is a girl" some part of her believes she's a girl or she would have said "he". I wish Cindi would have picked up on that.

Panel 5 is incredibly unfair. That's not a gender defining question, everyone has their own personal preference. Annie has simply set herself up to get the answer she wants so she can continue to spiral.

Depression is such a vicious cycle, especially when people don't know the right questions to ask to get you to stop spiraling.

@Guest: I don't think I even realized I did that in frame 4 when I wrote it. I checked my original writing and there were a lot of typos, but that sentence was perfectly clear. You may have found something deeper in Annie's psyche than I have been able to see.
