That's a bit of a bomb to drop on your mother - hey mom, I nearly cut my own head off with a knife last week. Like, ain't no thang. Whatevs.

And that is thing number two that is being handed to Annie. What is it? I'm sure you can figure it out before tomorrow, because hell.. it's what makes me, me.

Thing Number Two:

(8R,9S,13S,14S,17S)-13-methyl-6,7,8,9,11,12,14,15,16,17-decahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthre ne-3,17-diol by any chance? :)

However, the big thing to discuss will be exactly what effect that failed test has on her school life. I expect in the next day or two we'll discover there's some wriggle room in the terms and conditions attached to her being allowed to participate in sports teams (and even attend the school), and they're not as draconian as requiring her to pass every test in every subject.

@mittfh: I have no idea what you just tried to say.

Unfortunately, the test is the least of Annie's concerns.

@GreenKrog: That really long name is the official scientific name for a certain steroid with the formula C18 H24 O2.

As for the test, it's not so much the result itself but what she imagines the consequences may be - especially since she imagines a slippery slope of being kicked off the teams, kicked out of school, being publicly 'outed' in front of the school (so severely limiting where she can get educated as Annie) and maybe even succombing to the "therapist" and being persuaded to give up all hope of ever being Annie.

@mittfh: she is already on that type of thing. This is not a happy chemical. This is 2-(2-(4-dibenzo[b,f][1,4]thiazepine- 11-yl- 1-piperazinyl)ethoxy)ethanol.

@GreenKrog: Ah, that one. It's what I originally thought until I saw your "it's what makes me, me" comment, which threw me and made me think of the other pharmacutical she takes routinely.

@Valley: Sorry, but Annie and I may have one too many puppy dog tails mixed in to be sugar and spice alone :(
