Annie has been looking at this sort of incorrectly. When my first long-term boyfriend and I were together, I was pre-surgery. He saw me naked, and he loved me (though we never touched me, because, asexual). After surgery, he got the joy of witnessing my complications, and he didn't want to see me naked after that (they were *really* bad complications).

My point is that it he loved my body just fine before surgery, and it was the horror of my injuries that turn him off of me (physically). It wasn't about my genitals at all, it was about my health.
In the same way, I think that Vic wasn't actually worried about what Annie did or didn't have. Whatever she had, that was still her. He was just worried about hurting her. It just happened to also involve an unfortunately anatomy in the process.

It can be a little mindblowing, but get your mind wrapped around this. If a girl has a penis, it is a girl's penis. Not a boy penis, on a girl. Credit: Assigned Male, a fantastic (if preachy) webcomic!
