Some people are going to be against what Dan is going to be doing over the next few pages. And I have absolutely no proof that what he is doing is good for anyone. All I can do is go on what I know personally, and that is - when you go through trauma, you can shut down, or you can react and deal. Annie has always shut down (same as I do). Dan wants her to face this in a healthy way, so she doesn't do what she did last time.

Is it wrong? Possibly. Is it right? Possibly. Will it be effective? Only time will tell. I hope so. Annie deserves to be a full person, all the time. It can mean feeling the bad along with the good - but it also means being able to work through the bad before it takes away the good.

Also, I am in a really bad place with my bipolar and this is the first page I've drawn in several weeks. The art is not going to be very good for a while as I am trying to resolve my own life. So I apologize for that.

Edit: While I appreciate the sympathy, this was posted in July of 2015. Its been a long time and I am more or less doing better.

@GreenKrog: It's easy to forget the strips (and associated commentary) are drawn, written and queued up for publication many months before they go 'live' - currently you've got a nine month buffer, in the past it's been as high as eleven months (unlike some artists who have very little buffer then have to resort to filler when it runs out).

Hmm... nine months... so it's possible in your current workload, Cindi's now a mum and Annie's (slightly) better at dealing with *that* emotional trigger - but of course, you can neither confirm nor deny this as *SPOILERS!*
