The modern alphabet is based on Arabic-Indic notation. Deal with it. Flint is smart.

This ain't Annie's first kiss with Flint.

There is too much to unpack in this page, given how little is said. I'm tired. Go unpack it yourselves.

On some level, I think Flint is the person who understands Annie the most of all the cast. There's plenty of people in the story who seem like they'd relate to Annie better, people who've had similar experiences, who've been through trauma. Flint hasn't been through any of that, as far as we know. But he's just a really empathetic guy. He's got a feel for Annie's mental and emotional state that other characters don't seem to have, and maybe that's specifically because he doesn't have a lot of baggage that he's projecting on her, I don't know. Fact is, every thing he ever says or does around Annie tends to be exactly what she needs in that exact moment. I think Annie might have just suddenly realized this... and yet again, Flint knows that she's in no emotional state to be making big changes to her relationships, and does the right thing.
