Poor Grace. She doesn't like it when voices get raised.
Poor Gerald. He is really scared for the safety of his daughter.
Poor Annie. She is supposed to forget, but then everything always gets dredged up.

Also, Olsen will get out. A life sentence in Canada is pretty short. It will be extended if he still deemed to be a threat. We believe in Canada that people can be redeemed, and that locking them away forever solves nothing.

Life sentences

Although that's the vernacular term, in the UK at least, I believe they're officially called "indeterminate" sentences, which just means there's no fixed length, and people are held until officialdom decides they're no longer a significant threat - although it's likely there'd still be terms and conditions applying to their release, so theoretically, if they were discovered to have violated the terms of their release, they could be returned to jail. I say theoretically as I have no idea what happens in reality.
