VE Updated!!

For anyone playing at home, Venus Envy updated again. And word from the grapevine is that she will be updating more than once a year this time too.
So stop reading this trash and go read VE. Or if you already read it, go read it again.
And go read and re-read Rain, also on Smackjeeves. Lynn is amazing.

I have not, and probably will not take your advice. The " Big Time, Big Budget, Big Promotion, Big Audience " style comics do not interest me. I want to see what the Underdogs and Unknowns are doing. That is why I have chosen to follow, for now, Wildflowers instead of VE.

@ Cutedress;

"Charles Xavier has done more for mutant kind than you will ever know" - Erik Lehnsherr (Magento).

I respect your view that some things are overhyped and just get many views due to big budget. By the same margin, I would ask - aren't some popular or important things popular or important for their own intrinsic value?

If you listen to a song everybody has heard, and can still connect to the deep beauty of what it sings to you, isn't that more important than the image of bucking the trend? If you see a sunset and are filled with awe, is there something wrong with you that a million other people are seeing the same thing?

What if, in a year or five, I was as popular as VE? What if someone bought promotional space for me, or if I did so I could reach more young and hopeful trans* people? Would I then be less worth reading?

VE gave me the courage to come out to myself. Erin Lindsey's work allowed me to be a whole person.
So, as I said, I respect your view. I hope you can respect mine.
